Pints for Pups 1-Year Birthday Bash

We wanted to celebrate our one-year anniversary properly – so we let the dogs out!

That’s right, Oak & Stone partnered with Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue and hosted a birthday bash complete with pints, pups and wood-fired pizza. Nate’s even had dogs that were up for adoption at the event – and one found a fur-ever home that day!

What’s a party without your friends?

To ramp up the festivities, we also invited pet-friendly businesses to set up on our patio and be a part of the party. We were elated that so many companies from Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota were interested, as this certainly added an additional layer of tail-wagging fun.

Our vendors and community partners included Sharon Lisic, Memories Lounge, Bayside Pet Spa, Big Top Brewing Company, Calusa Brewing, Darwin Brewing Company and Taproom, Woof Gang Bakery, DIY Dog Wash, Bone Appetite, Three Dog Bakery, Cyclebar, Cisco, Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, J.J. Taylor Distributing Florida, Inc., Lagunitas Brewing Co, and Cigar City Brewing! We cannot express how grateful we are for these fine folks – our event was a dog-gone-good time in huge parts to them!

The biggest hit – and most adorable – of the day turned out to be the doggie splash pools, and of course Nate’s pups that were up for adoption.

But, let’s be honest – no birthday bash at a craft beer joint would be complete without the support of local breweries and some amazing dog-related brews on tap! Big Top Brewing, Calusa Brewing and Darwin Brewing Company joined us to celebrate and pour up their delectable golden goodness.

As part of the fundraiser, we ensured that our Beer Wall was well-stocked with, well, “dog-related beer” and donated a portion of these proceeds to Nate’s. Now, if you’re sitting there thinking, there can’t be that many dog-related beers, think again! We were able to bring in kegs of Bold City Brewery Duke's Cold Nose Brown, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Dogfish Head SeaQuench Ale, Seadog Brewing Company Blue Paw Wheat, and Seadog Brewing Company Sunfish Ale! Proceeds from our $5 craft cocktails also benefited Nate’s.

Hooray for Nate’s!

As with any birthday bash, ours had to come to an end, but not without a few birthday presents – not for us, but for our friends at Nate’s! A donation of $250 was made and amazingly, one dog had its day and found a fur-ever home!

This celebration was more than we could have hoped for, and proved that Oak & Stone is officially a staple in our community – from a 56-tap Beer Wall, to handcrafted cocktails, wood-fired pizza and an undeniable desire to be good neighbors!
