Let’s Get Rowdy!

Let’s Get Rowdy!

Oak & Stone St. Petersburg is proud to announce its partnership with the Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer Team this week and we want to know, who's ready to get rowdy?

“We’re thrilled about this partnership with the Rowdies. They’re an incredible community-focused organization,” notes Brett Decklever, co-owner of Oak & Stone. “The Rowdies have been part of the Tampa Bay area sports scene since 1975. We’re on board and excited to grow with the Rowdies organization, with a focus on supporting the team throughout this 2018 season.”

The Tampa Bay Rowdies were the first professional sports franchise in Tampa Bay. As of 2017, they have made their way into the United Soccer League and are credited with a list of long standing achievements. Winning the North American Soccer League Soccer Bowl in 1975, their first year as a team, and fast forward to 2012 when The Rowdies scored another NASL Soccer Bowl win means we at Oak & Stone St. Petersburg are partnered with a winning team.

Rowdies Playing Soccer

As luck would have it for Rowdies fans, their home turf is just a short walk away from our new Oak & Stone DTSP location! Our plan to open this second location at 199 Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg (corner of Central Avenue & 2nd Street No.) in April 2018, is just a few weeks after the Rowdies’ season opener. Located downtown, we will serve over 60 rotating varieties of mostly local American craft beers on a self-serve beer wall utilizing RFID technology. Our full-service restaurant is gearing up for the opening of our doors and the welcoming of the Rowdies community for pre and post-game meetups. With comfy couches, fire pits, corn hole and billiards, there’s plenty of activities for guests to enjoy and fun for the whole family.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies Season runs from March 17th - October 14th. And Oak & Stone DTSP is pleased to be offering A Kick in the Grass, from Big Storm Brewing Company, on our beer wall on game days. In fact, when Rowdies fans come into Oak & Stone DTSP on game days, sporting their Rowdies gear, and utilizing the hashtag #Gear4Beer on social media, they will score 10 ounces of Big Storm’s A Kick in the Grass for FREE.

This marks Oak & Stone’s first major announcement in conjunction with a professional sports franchise. The partnership will include player appearances, mascot visits, digital and social support pre and post game promotional opportunities, as well as, stadium visibility.
